{"id":97,"date":"2016-10-28T15:53:34","date_gmt":"2016-10-28T13:53:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fuglister-org.ch\/?page_id=97&#038;lang=en"},"modified":"2022-10-10T11:28:50","modified_gmt":"2022-10-10T09:28:50","slug":"history","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/fuglister-org.ch\/en\/history\/","title":{"rendered":"History"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][rev_slider_vc alias=&#8221;accueil&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator color=&#8221;black&#8221; border_width=&#8221;2&#8243;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;3\/6&#8243;][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;titre&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 35px;\">OUR HISTORY, OUR FAMILY<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;titre_mini&#8221;]<span style=\"color: #339966; line-height: 1.2;\">Hans-Jakob F\u00fcglister, the company founder was always enthralled by organ-makers.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;titre_mini&#8221;]HANS-JAKOB F\u00dcGLISTER[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;221&#8243; img_size=&#8221;medium&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][vc_column_text]As a young boy on holiday at Valais, Hans-Jakob F\u00fcglister saw traditional organs and observed the work of the Carlen family, one of the two famous families that produced organs in the Valais area.<\/p>\n<p>He became a master craftsman and forged his reputation following high-level training and experience gained throughout Europe.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1477662723042{padding-top: 30px !important;padding-right: 30px !important;padding-bottom: 30px !important;padding-left: 30px !important;background-color: #f0f0f0 !important;}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<div class=\"content-grey\">\n<ul>\n<li>He undertook advanced studies in piano and organ, specifically with Gaston Litaize in Paris in 1956.<\/li>\n<li>He then studied organ-building at the world-renowned METZLER Manufacture at Dietikon in Switzerland.<\/li>\n<li>He continued his studies by specialising in organ-building with Rudolph Von BECKERATH in Hamburg, Germany, then with Troels KROHN at Hillerod in Denmark.<\/li>\n<li>He scoured Europe to study different instruments and styles and he now lectures on the subject in Switzerland and elsewhere.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Building on his experience, he founded his company in 1960.\u00a0 His wife, Marianne F\u00fcglister-Krohn, whose father is the famous Danish organ-maker Troels Krohn, joined the company in 1964.<\/p>\n<p>The company enjoyed speedy growth and currently enjoys a fine reputation throughout the world. Its renown extends far beyond Swiss borders and is well known as far away as Japan.<\/p>\n<p>Hans-Jakob F\u00fcglister died in 2012.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;titre_mini&#8221;]ANNETTE F\u00dcGLISTER SERMIER[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Hans-Jacob&#8217;s daughter, Annette has taken up the challenge. Fuelled by the same passion for organ-making, she has been working with her father since 1987. She obtained a CFC qualification from Mathis at Glaris (CH) in 1991 and, Danish being her mother tongue, she went on to pursue specialised studies with Carsten LUND in Denmark.
